The front page of the Times this morning leads with the headline, Foreign students face ban from UK universities. After 12 years of this nonsense, Playbook is nearly as tired as you, dear reader.
When you dig down into the report from the “paper of record”, it would seem, in light of the soaring immigration figures (more to follow below), that international students are expected to be the main target in the battle against immigration, but only in “non-elite” universities—i.e. everyone other than Russell Group institutions. And if you think it stops there, you are a mug.
