Ucas data, international students, and capital funding—there’s no rest for the wicked
There are plenty of regular higher education diary stories, all of which make for perfectly decent Playbooks. For example, the publication of Ucas’s end of cycle data, a Higher Education Policy Institute student survey looking at employability, or defeat for the government as the free speech bill made its way through report stage in the Lords.
Then there are the frequently excellent Jisc reports and the prolific output of the Office for Students—things like the allocation of recurrent grant funding, or the confirmation of the membership of its Teaching Excellence Framework assessment panel. Oh, and another of Playbook’s regular favourites is when the education secretary appears in front of the Education Select Committee.
