Playbook looks a little closer at a recent appointment to the Office for Students’ board

In Friday’s Playbook, we alerted you to the fact that one of the new appointees to the board of the Office for Students was married to someone described in the local and national press as a close friend to James Wharton, OfS chair and Conservative peer.

What we didn’t report, because we were still working on the story, was the extent of that apparent closeness between Wharton and newly appointed board member Rachel Houchen’s husband Ben.
