It’s goodbye from the Quality Assurance Agency and some wannabe prime ministers
Could the last person to leave put the light out? The Sun famously said this of the prospect of a Neil Kinnock government. We do not yet know who our next prime minister will be, but one designated body has already decided that enough is enough.
This morning, Chris Parr brings us the news that the Quality Assurance Agency is to cease its role as the designated quality body (DQB) for England from April 2023. The QAA is currently responsible for evaluating the quality of provision in English universities on behalf of the Office for Students.
