A former universities minister sets out ideas for reforming higher education

The UK needs to break out of a “too many university degrees” mentality and get on with the serious work of how best to reform higher education, argues a report out today.

The report, How higher education can boost people-powered growth, written by David Willetts, a former universities minister and now president of the Resolution Foundation, is packed with ideas both old and new.
