Horizon celebrations and future visions at Universities UK’s annual conference
If anyone had suggested a week ago that university leaders would be contemplating giving a standing ovation at their annual conference to a government minister, it would have been sarcasm.
Yet it was being seriously discussed as vice-chancellors gathered yesterday for day two of the Universities UK event as they anticipated science minister George Freeman confirming the deal to associate to Horizon Europe.
