Concerns abound over post-study visas, strikes and student costs
After Suella Braverman was reappointed as home secretary last year, just six days after being sacked for her carelessness with sensitive government information, it was only really a matter of time before one of her least popular policy preferences (in higher education circles, at least) also re-emerged.
And so it was that yesterday The Times covered a clash between the Home Office and the Department for Education over Braverman’s mooted plan to slash the amount of time that international graduates can remain in the UK on a graduate visa from two years to six months.
