Poor take-up of a short course pilot places the value of the LLE in doubt

Today, we can tell you that a trial linked to the Lifelong Learning Entitlement, the government’s flagship higher education policy of this parliament, has attracted very few students. It has been quite the week for that famous “professionalism at every level of government” that prime minister Rishi Sunak once promised.

Chris Parr was out of the blocks early to bring us the news. Readers will recall that the Office for Students has been running a pilot scheme designed to test the viability of micro courses.
