Student maintenance support stagnates and details emerge about the next Research Excellence Framework
Confirmation came yesterday of a pilot exercise for the expanded people, culture and environment section of the next Research Excellence Framework.
The announcement will come as a relief to researchers, some of whom were worried that no pilot had so far been put in place. The REF steering committee also announced that the consultancy Technopolis and the researcher careers service Crac-Vitae, in collaboration with the research community, would draw up a shortlist of indicators to be used to assess this element of the REF.
