The government is to publish its response to a review of research bureaucracy

Today marks a bumper day of announcements by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, which claims that the government has invested £19.4 billion in research and development in the past year. This is close to its target of spending £20bn on R&D by 2024-25 and, according to Dsit, “the highest level this country has ever seen”.

Along with announcements about investments, it is publishing a response to Adam Tickell’s independent review of research bureaucracy.
