The candidates to be the next UCU general secretary set out their stalls
The list of elections taking place this year is something to behold. More than two billion people across about 50 countries are reported to be heading to the ballot box in 2024, including in a UK general election, a US presidential election and a prime ministerial election in India.
Playbook readers, though, may be most interested in the election of the next University and College Union general secretary. Yesterday came the national hustings, with incumbent Jo Grady answering questions alongside would-be leaders Vicky Blake, Ewan McGaughey and Saira Weiner.
