Another pension row threatens universities, and this one could be even bigger
The dispute between employers and staff over the Universities Superannuation Scheme lasted longer than the First World War. Only at the end of this month will the row finally be resolved with a full restoration of pre-strike benefits.
So it must be time for another intractable dispute over university pensions. This one concerns the Teachers’ Pension Scheme, which is offered by most post-1992 institutions.
