Pay discussions continue in a busy week for higher education
Playbook readers will be more than used to the often explosive talks between unions and employers when it comes to university pay negotiations. The second round of pay and conditions discussions for 2024-25 took place in Scotland yesterday.
In attendance were the Universities and Colleges Employers Association and five higher education trade unions: the Educational Institute of Scotland, the GMB Union, the University and College Union (UCU), Unison and Unite. So what fireworks were set off?
