A framework for improving access to university in Scotland has been launched by the Scottish government.

Scotland’s Framework for Fair Access consists of a website that supports universities’ work to improve access to higher education. A forum, known as Scotland’s Community of Access and Participation Practitioners, has been established to share best practice in access support. An online toolkit giving practitioners ideas about steps they could take to improve access has also been created.

The framework was published by Scotland’s commissioner for fair access, Peter Scott, on 7 May.
