Start dates pushed back for students in the two UK countries
Students in Scotland have been told they will not be allowed to return to campus until March, while the Welsh government has warned universities will have to make “difficult decisions” on which students can come back.
Scotland’s minister for further education, higher education and science Richard Lochhead said learning would be online only for January and February for the “overwhelming majority” of students as Covid-19 cases continue to rise.
