Long-term graduate prospects remain strong

Three years after leaving, 93 per cent of graduates from UK institutions are in employment or further study.

For UK domiciled students who graduated in 2013, 87.5 per cent were in employment, including those working and studying at the same time, three and a half years later, according to figures released by the Higher Education Statistics Agency on 10 August.

This is a slight drop on the previous cohort, which had 88 per cent in employment, but higher than those who graduated in 2009 and in 2008. The highest levels in recent history were for those who graduated in 2005, when 89.6 per cent were in employment three years later.
