Almost 200 students at Bournemouth University are demanding compensation or cut-price rent because of problems with their accommodation.

In an online petition that has so far attracted 196 signatures, students living in Lyme Regis House, managed by developer Campus Living Villages, claim that some of them have gone up to three weeks without a consistent supply of hot water and that tap water in some rooms has been “coming out white”.

Bournemouth University has stressed that Campus Living Villages is responsible for the accommodation.
