Students report declining mental health during pandemic

NUS survey also finds many are not seeking support

More than half of students say their mental health is worse now than before the pandemic, a survey conducted by the National Union of Students has revealed.

According to the poll of more than 4,000 UK students, 52 per cent believed their mental health had deteriorated or been negatively affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Just 29 per cent of those reporting poorer mental health said they had sought mental health support.
