Decline in European applicant numbers offset by increasing numbers from China and India
The number of people from the European Union applying to study in the UK is down 2 per cent year on year, according to the university and college admissions service.
Ucas figures out today show that as of the 15 January application deadline, there were 43,030 applications from EU students in countries other than the UK, a decline of 860 year on year.
