Most students expect admissions problems this year

Survey reveals prospective students’ concerns over starting university after a difficult 2020 cycle

More than half of prospective students are worried about problems they might face when it comes to university admissions in September, following grading chaos last year.

A survey by international rankings firm QS of more than 13,000 UK-domiciled university applicants revealed that 52 per cent are “anticipating some level of difficulty” during the admissions process this year. Just 15 per cent thought that the admissions process would be easy.
