UK growing ‘transnational education in the European Union’

But British Council says universities should do more to analyse the benefit of TNE in Europe

The number of students studying on UK programmes in European Union countries grew by 30 per cent between 2016 and 2019, an analysis of transnational education has found.

According to the British Council, in 2018-19 the EU hosted the second-largest number of transnational education (TNE) students globally with 16.3 per cent of the world’s total.
