Three-quarters of students ‘have considered dropping out’

Covid-19 and mental health concerns behind sharp jump in students thinking about leaving, survey finds

More than three-quarters of current students have considered dropping out of university, with mental health concerns and the Covid-19 pandemic playing a big part, a poll has suggested.

The National Student Money Survey 2021 revealed that 76 per cent had thought about leaving their courses, representing a sharp rise from the 59 per cent recorded in the 2020 survey.
