Universities told to tout benefits of hybrid learning

   

Student Futures Commission wants institutions to do more to establish positive opinion of online education

An influential commission made up of higher education leaders has urged universities to do more to tout the benefits of mixed in-person and online education.

A number of universities have said that some form of digital teaching will remain this term, after most teaching went online during the early days of the pandemic. While some students have said this means they should pay less than the current fees of £9,250 per year, a number of experts are increasingly pushing the pedagogical benefits of online tuition and stressing that in some cases it is no less expensive to produce than in-person education.
