Scrapping two-metre rule paves way for in-person teaching, but large lectures unlikely, says education minister
Plans to scrap the two-metre distancing rule at Welsh universities this autumn would allow more in-person teaching, but large lectures at the start of the next academic year are still unlikely, the country’s education minister has said.
On 30 June, Jeremy Miles, who is also minister for the Welsh language, announced plans to drop a rule requiring social distancing of two metres in universities, which would “allow more in-person learning, provided there is low or moderate risk”.
