Ghana prepares the ground for genetically modified crops

A biosafety scientific committee in Ghana could soon have the power to decide if genetically modified crops are safe enough for commercial production.

Up to now, the responsibilities of Ghana’s National Committee on Biosafety (NCB) have been limited to approving field trials of genetically modified crops.
