Researchers in West Africa face many challenges, such as a lack of funding, poor proposal writing know-how and scant institutional support for research.
The West African Research and Innovation Management Association (WARIMA) was set up to help scientists in the region overcome some of these challenges. It will hold its sixth annual conference and workshop at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, from 21 to 26 October under the theme ‘Managing Research and Innovation’.
