High-speed network to expand into Africa

The Unites States aid agency has provided US$5 million to expand a high-speed computer network connecting research organisations across the globe to three African countries.

The money from the United States Agency for International Development will extend the Global Ring Network for Advanced Application Development (GLORIAD) into Ethiopia, Kenya and Sudan in 2013.
