The University of Nairobi in Kenya will launch a grants scheme early next year for young African scientists, focusing on the sustainable use of water and biological resources.
The Scientific Training and Research Initiative for Development, Education and Sustainability (STRIDES) will fund individuals or teams based in sub-Saharan Africa. The programme will help young scientists interact with stakeholders, senior scientists and peers in formulating their research.
