Five research projects in sub-Saharan Africa will be funded as part of a research initiative to study the impact of high blood pressure in developing countries.
The projects were announced by the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) on 11 June. The US$21.8 million programme will last between three and five years.
