The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa and the African Innovation Foundation launched the call for nominations for the 2013 Innovation Prize for Africa on 4 July.
The prize, awarded for the first time earlier this year, seeks to help young Africans in science, technology and engineering to develop innovative solutions to problems in their societies. It also seeks to boost the commercialisation of research.
