Carnegie funds postgraduate training in Africa

The Carnegie Corporation of New York in the US has announced grants worth US$3 million for postgraduate training and research that promotes peace in Africa.

The grants are part of a global round of US$26.9m announced on 2 January.

The recipients are the University of Cape Town (UCT) in South Africa and the US-based International Peace Institute (IPI).
