The Algeria-South Africa joint research programme has issued a second call for proposals.
The call welcomes proposals in laser technology, nanotechnology, information and communication technology, indigenous knowledge systems on medicinal plants, advanced medical science, applied human and social sciences, biotechnology and renewable energy.
Successful projects will be funded to a maximum of R500,000 (US$56,000) per project over two years. Algerian applicants can ask for up to 2.5 million Algerian dinars (US$30,000) per year, for two years maximum.
