Cameroon maths centre may open this year

The African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) plans to open a central African branch in Cameroon later this year, adding to its branches in Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal and South Africa.

The Yaounde-based centre will train young African postgraduate researchers in mathematical sciences. The governments of Canada and Cameroon are the centre’s two main funders.
