IRD renews scientific cooperation with Madagascar

France’s institute for research for development (IRD) is to step up scientific collaboration with Madagascar, updating agreements made in 2001.

IRD president Michel Laurent led a delegation to the island on 20-21 February, signing a protocol for scientific cooperation with Madagascar’s minister for higher education and scientific research, Etienne Hilaire Razafindehibe. The protocol emphasises support for joint research and education programmes.
