ILRI announces PhD scholarship on goat productivity

A PhD scholarship on harnessing genetic diversity for improved goat production is offered by the International Livestock Research Institute in conjunction with the German Academic Exchange service (DAAD).

The project includes studying goat diversity in Cameroon and Ethiopia in order to empower breeders to develop better goats and creating ICT-based tools to support management decisions through the production chain.

Skills and qualifications required include a masters degree in bioinformatics or related fields–applied mathematics or computer sciences. A first-class degree in computer sciences or applied maths with interest in biology may be considered.
