Nairobi partners with Oxford to research water scarcity

Kenya’s University of Nairobi is set to partner with the University of Oxford in the UK as part of a programme to increase water security for 2.5 million people by 2021.

The programme, ‘REACH: Improving Water Security for the Poor’, will run for seven years. The lead researchers are Robert Hope from Oxford university and Daniel Olago from the University of Nairobi.

The partnership was announced when an Oxford university team met Peter Mbithi, the UoN’s vice-chancellor, in his office on 11 June.
