Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia launched a business incubation centre on 6 June.
The centre is based at the university’s former school of pharmacy. It will house facilities and support for entrepreneurs looking to commercialise their research.
“The establishment of this centre provides a good starting point for implementation of research findings and commercialisation of research outputs,” said Tassew W/Hanna, the university’s vice president for research and technology transfer.
