Yeromin Mlacha from Tanzania’s Ifakara Health Institute has won a three-year PhD grant to train in epidemiology at the Swiss Tropical Institute in Basel.
His doctoral research will identify, characterise and target the reservoir of malaria transmission in southern Tanzania through community-based mapping.
Mlacha will be supervised by IHI senior researcher Prosper Chaki and Marcel Tanner from the University of Basel.
