Kenya’s university commission shortlists potential directors

The Commission for University Education in Kenya has shortlisted seven candidates who will battle it out to replace outgoing chief executive David Some.

Two of those shortlisted are deputy directors: CUE deputy secretary for quality audit and standards Anne Nangulu—the only woman on the list—and deputy secretary of administration and finance Walter Oyawa.

Other candidates include James Tuitoek, former vice-chancellor of Egerton University, and Tom Ongechi, deputy vice-chancellor of Moi University.
