A World Bank-funded data science centre at the University of Rwanda is calling for applications from doctoral students, with courses starting in September.
The African Centre of Excellence in Data Science in one of four created at the university by the World Bank’s second African centres of excellence initiative, ACEII.
Applications are welcome in data mining, actuarial sciences, econometrics, biostatistics and demographics. Students from any sub-Saharan African country may apply for the centre’s first intake. They must have completed masters studies in mathematics, computer science, economics, statistics or information technology.
