University of Nairobi principal elected president of PANGeA

The University of Nairobi’s Enos Njeru has been elected president of the Partnership for Africa’s Next Generation of Academics, a nine-member network that nurtures academics in the humanities and social sciences.

Njeru is Nairobi’s principal of the college of humanities of social sciences. He takes over from Edward Kirumira from Uganda’s Makerere University, the University of Nairobi reported without indicating the date of the change.

Administered by Stellenbosch University in South Africa, the PANGeA network runs a doctoral programme. It also recently launched an early-career postdoctoral fellowship scheme.
