The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture is calling for applications from affiliated universities interested in participating in its MasterCard Foundation-funded Community Action Research Programme.
US$550,000 is available for the initiative, which helps universities invest in action research into agriculture in particular geographic areas or selected commodities. Proposals will be received until 31 October.
This opportunity targets crops and livestock value chains of strategic importance in Africa, with a special focus on Kenya and Uganda. A total of US$200,000 is reserved for applications from Egerton University in Kenya and Gulu University in Uganda.
