Kenya’s Mount Kenya University and Makerere University in Uganda have created a joint research fund to stimulate health research between the two institutions.
MKU made the first deposit into the fund on 19 September. The private university—East Africa’s largest—submitted the US$100,000 via its charity arm, the Mount Kenya University Foundation.
