Competition for SIDA funding heats up

Swedish agency’s new strategy is to reward strong research groups

The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA) is pursuing a new funding strategy that will see it offer more competitive grants geared towards funding institutions with strong research capabilities.

This is a shift from the strategy by which SIDA invites proposals from research institutions in countries with which Sweden has bilateral agreements.
