The UK’s Department for International Development and the Royal Society are inviting applications for the second round of calls for the Africa Capacity Building Initiative.
Up to £1.2 million (US$1.8m) will be offered to teams comprising three African and one UK research institution to train postgraduate students and research water and sanitation, renewable energy and soil in the second call.
Applications must be submitted by a sub-Saharan African or a UK researcher with a PhD or extensive research experience, a track record of training masters and PhD students and who has published in national and international journals.
