A group of funders in Spain have banded together to launch a mobility fellowship programme aimed at African women researchers in health, energy, water, climate change, agriculture and food security.

The Science by Women programme is a collaboration between the Spain-based Women for Africa Foundation and five prominent research institutions in the country.

A total of nine visiting fellowships lasting six months will be awarded, tenable at one of the Spanish partner institutions. Funding will cover travel expenses and a monthly allowance of €2,400 (US$2,580).
