New Islamic science awards announced

A global grouping of Islamic countries has announced a range of science awards open to researchers hailing from, and working in, its member countries.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation, based in Pakistan, is offering two senior science prizes worth US$5,000 each—one in biology and the other in chemistry.
