The Marsh award for ecologists in Africa, funded by the British Ecological Society, has issued its first call for nominations.
The grant provides up to £2,000 (US$2,800) for an African ecologist to travel to the United Kingdom for a two-week visit. The visit enables the winner to attend the BES annual meeting, which will take place in Birmingham from 16-19 December 2018.
Nominees must be scientists and citizens of an African low- or lower-middle-income economy according to the World Bank. They must be working for a university or research institution in Africa.
