UN and WHO pair up for sustainable development

The United Nations Development Programme and the World Health Organization have agreed to collaborate to help countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.

The two bodies signed the five-year deal targeting developmental factors affecting health on 4 May.

WHO director-general, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus of Ethiopia, says reaching the SDG health targets requires a multifaceted approach.
