African innovation prize deadline extended

The deadline for applications for the 2014 Innovation Prize for Africa has been extended until 30 November, it was announced last week.

The deadline for applications for the prize, awarded by the African Innovation Foundation to encourage innovators and entrepreneurs on the continent, was originally 31 October.

But in a statement on that day, the AIF said that various countries had asked for a little extra time to compile applications, as they had only lately found out about the prize.
